What is considered as Natural & Organic as per Beauty Industry Standards?
What is the difference between natural and organic cosmetics?
This has been and always will be an on-going conversation within the Beauty Industry in terms of the difference of products considered as natural to that of products considered as organic.
Products of both collections are derived out of natural ingredients, however the primary difference between the two is the process of how these ingredients are grown and cultivated.
In the case of Natural Beauty Products, the ingredients used are usually grown using chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides which results in a higher harvest.
In the case of Organic Beauty Products, the ingredients used are usually grown without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides, but rather an organically driven life.
In order to be considered natural, the product must also have a high percentage of natural ingredients and cannot contain more than 5% of synthetic substances (synthesized in the laboratory). In addition, it cannot contain synthetic colorants and petroleum-derived ingredients.
